Why Can an Attorney Prepare a Better RFE Reply Than AI Software?
Our attorneys are trained to think creatively within the law. Creativity is a superpower that AI will never have, and paralegals don’t understand the limits of the law. Here are some examples:
- The RFE asks for more proof of a valid marriage, and you already mailed proof of marriage when you filed VAWA Form I-360. A paralegal will tell you to “get affidavits” from friends and family, but a Blandon Law attorney will review the affidavits and remove parts that may harm your case.
A successful RFE reply is critical because VAWA green cards are often mailed without interviews if the reply is strong enough.
Why Can’t AI Prepare My RFE Reply Statement?
VAWA I-360 RFEs often ask for proof that the mental abuse was extreme, even if the documents filed with Form I-360 include a therapist’s report. A paralegal – not having the legal training as to what a declaration should say — might tell you to prepare a statement yourself to describe how events affected you mentally. You could spend several days chatting with AI software about the many abusive incidents during your years-long marriage But, how do you know if you are discussing the events that will matter to USCIS? How can you be sure that you’re not leaving out events that will make or break your case? AI responds to language. AI does not have 25 years of experience winning I-360 cases nor is it the best VAWA attorney.
