When Does USCIS Schedule Interviews for I-360 VAWA Green Cards?
USCIS usually does not schedule an interview for the petition part of the case, to make a decision on the I-360 VAWA application. They do, however, schedule interviews sometimes for the green card part, to make a decision on the I-485 adjustment of status application. When deciding whether to schedule a VAWA interview, USCIS officers look at the following:
- Do the forms have any inconsistencies or incomplete information?
- Are there questions that can’t be answered from the papers filed with the case?
- Does the applicant have a history of prior filings, or prior deportation orders?
