What Is the I-360 VAWA Filing Process?

Blandon Law recently received the VAWA I-360 approval seen above. Thanks to this approval, Adriana (not her real name) can get money as a domestic violence survivor while she waits for the approval on her green card case. Read below to find out more about the process.

Who Can File the I-360 VAWA Application?

The first step for a Violence Against Women Act case, which can be filed by men also, is to get yourself to safety. Nothing is more important. Second, call 954.385.0157 to schedule a chat with experienced VAWA attorneys at Blandon Law. We’ve won cases that other immigration attorneys refused to take. A spouse, unmarried child (under 21 years old) and PARENT of a US citizen or legal permanent resident abuser can file for a green card based on VAWA. It’s important to file the I-360 VAWA application as soon as possible, but not before our attorneys have helped you gather documents that will make winning your case easier.

Can I File the I-360 and I-485 Together?

If the abuser is a US citizen, the domestic violence survivor can file for the green card, the VAWA application, and probably even a work permit.  Even the survivor’s children may be able to get green cards and work permits.  NOTE: the instructions for the I-360 VAWA application are 15 pages long and the instructions for the I-485 green card application are FORTY TWO PAGES. Aggressive immigration police is targeting Spanish speaking and dark colored immigrants; they are kidnapping them off the streets of America and asking questions later. Don’t waste time trying to understand instructions that our attorneys have spent over 20 years getting right.
