VAWA green cards are more difficult to get without a lawyer’s help because of a new policy by this administration. Survivors need to prove not only the abuse they survived but also are now being asked to put into words the abuser’s MOTIVES. That’s like asking someone trapped in a burning building to explain what the arsonist was thinking. Only professional firefighters (and professional VAWA attorneys) can do this.
